Google Form

 Google Forms

 Definition

Google Forms is a free online application that enables users to make forms, surveys, and quizzes. Users can also update the forms together and share them with others. Google forms can be used by teachers to evaluate their students at the start of the lesson and determine prior knowledge. Google forms can also be used to give and receive feedback from parents and students. Similar to this, students can use Google forms to evaluate their own learning, establish learning objectives, and gather information for research projects.

- Next, select "More" from the drop-down option.

- In addition, select "Google Forms" from the pop-up menu.

- Click "Untitled Form" and type the name of your Google form.

- You are always free to modify the name.

Advantages

- Convenience: Google Forms is currently available to everyone with a Google Account.

- The convenience aspect of Google Forms may be its biggest advantage.

Google Workspace, a collection of free Google programs that also includes Google Docs, Google Sheets, and other programs, contains Google Forms. You only need a Google account to use Google Forms and these other tools.

You probably already have a Google account, but if not, creating one only takes a few minutes.

You can use your web browser to access Google Forms after creating a Google account.

You don't have to install any software on your computer.

There is no requirement to first speak with a salesperson or onboarding professional.

- Ease of Use

The fact that Google Forms is so simple to use is one of its benefits.

Google Forms is intended to be used by as many people as possible, like the majority of other Google programs. To get the most of Google Forms, you don't need any technical knowledge, such as coding. It's likely that you won't encounter any difficulties using Google Forms if you are technically competent enough to sign up for a Google account.

- Strong Features

There are many features in Google Forms that you would typically only find in form builders that cost money.

Several Google Forms attributes are:

You may construct a variety of question kinds in Google Forms, including multiple-choice, check boxes, linear scales, short answers, paragraphs, multiple-choice grids, and checkbox grids. You can completely personalize your form using the many options.

Allow respondents to upload files using your Google Forms by including a file upload feature. This tool has the potential to be quite useful for gathering exam results, essays, resumes, job applications, and other documents.

Using conditional logic, you may set up your form such that respondents only see certain questions if they have already answered others. For instance, if a respondent selects option A, question 2 will be served to them; if they select option B, question 3 will be served.

Disadvantages

Not Super Versatile

The relatively limited form types you can create is one of the greatest Google Forms limitations.

For surveys and quizzes, Google Forms is fantastic. It is made so that you can add several questions one after another.

The greatest tool for developing applications, lead generation forms, payment forms, and other types of forms isn't Google Forms, though. Simply put, Google Forms lacks the functionality to create a wide range of forms.

In light of this, think about using a paid form builder if you're interested in developing more than just surveys.

While Google Forms does support conditional logic, it is rather primitive when compared to the complex conditional logic features offered by premium solutions. You can benefit from advanced branching logic with other solutions.

This, however, only scratches the surface. Google Forms undoubtedly misses some functionality that the majority of commercial form builders provide.

Limited Reporting and Analytics

The reporting and analytics features of Google Forms are one of its drawbacks. Even though Google Forms provides you with a great summary of the replies to your survey's questions, the reporting is far from as thorough as that of other programs like SurveyMonkey.

With many premium solutions, you can view a breakdown of how long respondents take to respond to questions, the countries from which they are responding, and much more. In contrast to Google Forms, you may frequently customize charts and graphs to show the data gathered.

Additionally, a lot of solutions let you export prebuilt PowerPoint presentations with all the survey data that has been gathered.

Comments

  1. This post is very informative. There are many things that one can learn from. However, the color of the fonts is not eye friendly. There is also a need to have this restructured so that it is easier to follow and understand, and maybe some nice photos can be added to make it more attractive and interesting.
